Product Description
The Single Runway #1 model airport consists of a PDF file with 77 ground foils to be printed, cut and assembled by the user. None of the buildings, airplanes or accessories are included. The model airport layout is as follows:
The complete model airport covers an area of 4 ft by 8 ft (1.22 m by 2.44 m), and it contains a single runway, a terminal area, a cargo area, a fuel depot and two bonus areas. The bonus areas can be configured as follows:

For best results we recommend printing the foils on a high quality matte photo paper, the thicker the paper, the better. Click on the link Model Airport Instructions to download a copy of the assembly instructions.
There are a total of 30 model airline pads, 21 large and 9 small. The large model airline pads will accommodate a 747, 767, 777 A300, A340, A380, L-1011, DC-10, MD-11, or a Concorde-SST. The small model airline pads will accommodate a 727, 737, 757, or an A320. With Bonus #1 the amount of large model airline pads decreases by one, with Bonus #2 the amount of large model airline pads increases by two.
The different areas will accept the following model airport buildings:
- Terminal area – Herpa’s Model Airport Basic Set 1 (Item #520362), or our Model Airport Terminal Building #1.
- Cargo area – Herpa’s Model Airport Cargo Center (Item #519847), or our own Model Airport Cargo Complex #1.
- Fuel depot – Herpa’s Model Airport Fuel Tanks (Item #519700).
- Our own Model Airport Commuter Terminal #1 (optional).
- Hangar area – Herpa’s Model Airport Hangar (Item #519762).
- Parking Garage – Herpa’s Model Airport Garage (Item #519885), or our own Model Airport Parking Garage #1, or nothing at all.
To further enhance the look of your model airport, you may want to add one our Model Airport Backgrounds to either end of the table.
